Evan finished off this last semester with flying colors.
Not only did he PASS chemistry, he actually did quite well! he got something around a 3.4 for his GPA, raising his overall by a few little notches. (I am so proud! he worked his BUTT off.)

The Snoasis shack has been erected in the parking lot next to tbell....I can't wait for the "coming soon" sign to be replaced with the faces of little high school girls. Evan started a little "snoasis fund" of change so I don't make us go bankrupt when it finally opens.

I wish I could ever have more to update on. Evan is still going to school, I am still working, we still live in the same apartment (studio), in the same ward (77th), with the same car (mazda protege), and same amount of children (zero). As consistent and unchanging as our lives are, I still love every minute of it.

This summer it'll be 2 1/2 years of marriage for us. I think it so strange/heartbreaking that according to the views of most of the people in the world, the best moments of our time together have come and gone. But at this rate, it truly just gets better and better! Who we are now, together, is who we were the day we got married...multiplied. Our love has grown exponentially as our knowledge of each other has grown. Seriously, I love being married. (I'm sure that just about all of you married folks would agree with me, too!)
Now, I'm not saying that it isn't hard. Marriage is definitely the hardest thing I have done thus far in my life. But, as with all things, the harder you work, the greater the reward. and man, I am LOVING the rewards.

  1. the first few years of marriage (especially without kids) are some of the most special! You're absolutely right, it does get better and better by year, but those first few years are magic, PURE magic! I'm glad you two are enjoying them so much.

Also, that photo of you and Evan is so lovely!

  2. congrats to you two. it's so wonderful to realize that life just gets better when you're devoted to each other. love that wedding picture, so beautiful!

  3. Did you marry Ron Weasley??

    don't tell Evan that!!!!

  4. but yes, marriage just gets better and better. Don't you remember when people in the 77th ward said they've been married for like 2+ years. I would say....oh my gosh that is SOOO long!! haha we'll be 3 in August and sometimes I feel like we just got married. But then I look at Brinley who is 18 months and remember that has been awhile since we were newly weds!! Vacation for Ry and I...STAT!

  5. isn't it nice sometimes when there is nothing to update? life is just GOOD. and i am super jealous of your snoasis access. i want one soooo bad.

the first few years of marriage ARE great, but i feel like every year just gets BETTER. just like you said: you grow together, learn together, laugh together, suffer together. to be cheesy: marriage is like wine :) gets better the more aged it is. SO LAME. oh, i crack myself up. we'll be married for 7 years this year... and it feels like no time at all but we've been through a TON together. and i just love it.
